Prescribe patient-specific orders
As a 503A pharmacy, we dispense only against valid, patient-specific prescriptions issued by licensed prescribers.
We prepare, check, and ship
Each preparation follows documented compounding procedures and quality checks before it leaves the pharmacy.

Standards — Section 503A
What 503A means — and how we work to it
- Patient-specific prescriptions
- Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act describes conditions under which compounded drugs are exempt from certain FDA requirements — including that compounding is performed pursuant to prescriptions for individual patients. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
- Documented procedures
- Compounding follows written standard operating procedures, with records kept for each preparation.
- Trained personnel
- Compounding and dispensing are performed by, or under the supervision of, licensed pharmacists with compounding training.
- Quality checks
- Preparations go through defined checks before dispensing. Where testing is performed, it is documented and available for review on request.
- USP alignment
- Our practices are built around applicable United States Pharmacopeia chapters for compounding, including USP <795>, <797>, and <800>.
